The life of a GlobalGrandparent is full of highs and lows, and so many mixed emotions.  We’re excited to be on one of the high points at the moment, as we’ve just booked to visit our family ‘down under’ next month.  It’s been 15 months since we’ve seen our granddaughters, which is the longest we’ve been apart from family in all our years of expat / global life, and are now literally counting the sleeps until we see them!  The long journey is more daunting than ever, and becoming harder with age, but we thank our lucky starts that we’re able to do it – physically and financially.

Having our granddaughters using GlobalGrandparents means we’re much more involved in what’s been happening with them in Oz, so we’ll be arriving more ‘in the know’, which is great.  We’re also starting to plan the trip via our shared family calendar which makes things so much easier, and is increasing the excitement levels for the girls as well.  We haven’t implemented the ‘sleeps until next visit’ feature on GlobalGrandparents yet, but it’s coming soon!

Are you a GlobalGranpdarent?  We’d love to hear from you – please send me an email – details below!
