A happy UK Fathers Day from us all at GlobalGrandparents!

We are nearing the end of our trip down under, and have had a wonderful time feeling like local grandparents just for a little while………One of the best things has been getting involved at all of the girls’ school activities.  As well as helping with the drop offs and pick ups, we’ve been to concerts, helped out in the school kitchen, and the weekly assemblies.

We feel that we have been a part of the school community which sounds ridiculous but we GlobalGrandparents have to soak it up while we can!  It also helps us to cope knowing that the girls are having an excellent education and their school life is busy, varied and most importantly they are very happy there.  We’ve also learnt the words to Australian National Anthem so we can join in the singing at the end of Assembly….typically followed by more tears!

Does your family have GlobalGrandparents? If they’re on FB, ask them to Like our Page as we continue to grow our community.

The world may be getting smaller, but staying in touch with family, especially when separated by large distances, still proves a challenge.
